1) Memory Loss That Disrupts Daily Life…

*Asking for the same info over and over

*Relying on a family member for things you used to handle yourself

*Forgetting important dates or events

*Sometimes forgetting appointments but, remembering them later on

2) Difficulty Completing Familiar Tasks At Home, At Work Or At Leisure…

*Trouble driving to a familiar location, remembering the rules of a favorite game, managing a budget at work.

When I saw the video of Sarah winning “Spain’s Got Talent” I had an “aha” moment. In an instant my entire view of what my body could do fifteen years from now shifted from “Oh, I’d rather not think about it” to “Wow, if I keep working my body then who knows what I’ll be able to do?” I gained insight into the way I was letting aging limit my sense of what is possible. Are you having this same conversation as well?

You see I’m quite an active person for a sixty one year old woman. Yet, I realize that I do not have very many role models for I am the most physically active in my own personal circle of friends. And have you noticed that we see less and less of ourselves in the media as active, dynamic, physically strong and fit? And when they do feature this type of “older” woman, she is usually in her mid 40’s at most!
